Data Scientist

Vacancy Introduction

We are recruiting for an Apprentice Data Scientist to work in our Business Information Development team. This is a brand-new role that would suit someone who is analytical, and process driven, with A levels in Computer Science and/or STEM subjects.

Role Responsibility

The successful candidate will take a Data Science Degree Apprenticeship and work alongside the existing Business Information Development Team on this exciting project, whilst learning skills through the apprenticeship that will help shape the future use of Data Science within the organisation. The Apprenticeship will involve some “block release” learning away at the University.

This role will expose you to industry leading technologies that will allow you to develop your skills on systems including, IBM Netezza database server, IBM Information Server for data integration (ETL) and Information Builders WebFOCUS for report development and analytics. You will also have the opportunity to work with test automation tools.
 

The Ideal Candidate

A predicted or achieved total of 112 UCAS points in STEM related subjects

A minimum of 5 GCSEs grades C / 4 or above (or equivalent) which must include English and Maths

Equivalent qualifications will be considered on a case by case basis

Ability to drive desirable, due to location of role.
