Range Planning Assistant
Vacancy Introduction
You’ll have the ability to work effectively within a team environment as well as independently, demonstrating excellent inter-personal skills across all areas of the Trading Division.
You’ll be able to effectively follow instructions as detailed each day by the Retail Range & Replenishment Co-Ordinator.
You’ll supervise product range within the stores, and you’ll be conversant with all areas of the range management system.
Because of COVID-19, we’re working from home at the moment and so the successful candidate will need to be able to effectively manage remote-working. Although the role will normally be based at our Head Office at Wherstead Park on the outskirts of Ipswich, Suffolk, we’re happy to consider ongoing flexible working arrangements.
Role Responsibility
• To be an effective team and sole player, demonstrating inter-personal skills across all areas of the Trading Division.
• To follow instructions as detailed each day by Retail Range & Replenishment Co-ordinator.
Principle Accountabilities
• Solving store queries regarding range, space plans and customer requests via a ticket system.
• Enhancing or creating store specific planograms for various categories, such as Chilled, Frozen and Ambient, as well as tri-weekly promotions.
• Deal with emails from internal colleagues regarding issues with plans or requests for changes.
• Work to deadlines set which impact other departments, such as category managers and most importantly the stores
• Adjust store specific plans when requested. This could involve few or many plans, and a various range of products.
• Liaise with colleagues such as Category Managers to review new ranges and include our Locally Sourced products.
• To be conversant with all areas of the range management system.
• To assist store management and colleagues with day to day issues within range management.
The Ideal Candidate
- Good knowledge of food/ambient products
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently
- Working knowledge of a retail environment and merchandising knowledge
- Computer competency
- Experience in using a space and assortment system
