We are looking for a Senior Retail Support Officer to join our Co-op Security Response team. This is a key operational role supporting the safety, security and resilience of our retail estate across East Anglia.

As a Senior Retail Support Officer, you’ll lead on complex incidents, investigations and crime prevention activity while providing day-to-day leadership and support to our Response Officer team. You’ll work closely with store colleagues, Security Management, the Alarm Receiving Centre and external partners including Police and Local Authorities to help create a safe and secure trading environment for our colleagues, customers and communities.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading responses to significant security incidents across our retail estate.
  • Conducting and overseeing investigations into theft, fraud, violence and antisocial behaviour.
  • Reviewing CCTV, gathering evidence and producing high-quality investigation reports.
  • Supporting stores with crime reduction initiatives and security improvements.
  • Coaching and supporting Response Officers and Retail Support Officers.
  • Building strong relationships with Police, Local Authorities and community partners.
  • Providing reassurance and welfare support to colleagues following incidents.
  • Supporting operational planning, compliance activity and continuous improvement initiatives.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in security, loss prevention, investigation or incident management.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising operational teams.
  • Strong communication, report writing and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • High levels of integrity, discretion and professionalism.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable: SIA CCTV Licence and/or SIA Security Guarding/Door Supervisor Licence, and experience within a retail or multi-site environment.
