Retail Support Officer

Vacancy Introduction

Co-op Secure Response is seeking a Retail Support Officer to provide security support and respond to incidents at our branches in Norfolk, Suffolk, or Essex. The successful candidate will develop professional relationships with colleagues and act as a deterrent to internal dishonesty and external anti-social behaviour and theft.

Role Responsibility

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, investigating events, completing welfare checks on branches, liaising with external agencies, and supporting department campaigns. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team, punctuality, effective communication skills, and the ability to evaluate risk and make suitable decisions.

The Ideal Candidate

You will be professional and self-motivated, able to use your own initiative, react quickly, embrace change, evaluate risk, and make suitable decisions. You should possess the ability to develop and maintain up-to-date professional and technical competence and use it in the achievement of objectives.

Colleagues undertaking this role must hold the following licences to conduct the role accordingly:

  • Full Driving License.
  • SIA CCTV License.
  • Basic Security SIA License.

The working times for this role, work on a 5 on, 2 off rotas (including weekends) working 8-hour shifts - The shift times for this role are mainly 15:00 – 23:00 with 1 week in 5 being 10:00 – 18:00.
