Kitchen Fabricator

Vacancy Introduction

We’re proud of our team at H.L Perfitt who use their 450 years of combined experience in stonemasonry to create bespoke monumental, burial and cremation memorials, as well as kitchen worktops and limestone bathrooms.

We’re looking for someone to join our kitchens team. Using various manual and equipment-driven processes, you’ll work with accuracy and pride to produce beautiful stone kitchen worktops. You will also support the fitting of worktops on-site, where you’ll positively represent H.L Perfitt in client’s homes.

Role Responsibility

  • Prepare and produce kitchen worktops (and other fabrications) to specification
  • Use different types of equipment, large machinery and manual methods during production (including cutting, polishing, grinding, shaping, etc.)
  • Fit (and remove) kitchen worktops on location to a high standard, taking steps to protect and respect the client’s premises
  • Ensure safe working practices at all times

As you’ll be working with stone, it’s wise to expect some heavy manual handling exposure in the role.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A hands-on and practical approach to work
  • Effective interpersonal skills, able to communicate with internal stakeholders and clients / customers
  • Team-player who is also able to work independently on their own initiative
  • Attention to detail
  • Commitment to working safely
  • Full UK driving license

Previous experience of working with stone and / or in kitchen fabrication and fitting would be great, but not essential as full training will be provided. The successful candidate would also ideally hold a CSCS card.

Some of our fitting jobs are further afield so the successful candidate should be comfortable with travel and occasional overnight stays.
