Head of Portfolio

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Portfolio. In this role, you will lead our Society’s Property Portfolio Team, focusing on strategically asset managing our property portfolio to ensure proactive estate management practices. The Head of Portfolio will be instrumental in driving our growth ambitions and will actively participate across our business at a senior level.

Role Responsibility

  • Lead the Society’s Property Portfolio Team to effectively manage and optimise the performance of our property assets.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for asset management to maximise returns and support the Society’s growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the Senior Leadership Team, to align property strategies with broader organisational goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as Local Authorities, Agents, and Developers, to facilitate property management, acquisition, and disposal activities.
  • Prepare and present reports to the Leadership Team and Board on property portfolio performance and strategic initiatives in a concise and easily understandable manner.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in a Commercial Property/Portfolio Management role.
  • Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
  • Extensive experience in dealing with property-related matters and stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with people at all levels.
  • Proven track record of strategic thinking, business acumen, and delivering results.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Hold a current valid driving licence.
