Vacancy Introduction

We are looking to recruit a Communications Co-ordinator to join our Corporate Affairs Team on a fixed-term basis.

Our Corporate Affairs team is responsible for a range of communications channels, including social media, web content and press and media relations, as well as internal events and our online colleague community.

You’ll join a small but busy team, reporting into our Corporate Affairs Manager, and will work alongside our Internal Communications manager and PR agency. With a wide-ranging family of businesses, from food retail, funeral services and travel, to security, stonemasonry and sustainability, this is a highly varied role.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in communications and corporate affairs, and you’ll play a key role in communicating and living our business’s values and vision, to be the most valued organisation in the East of England.

Role Responsibility

• Support management of both external social media channels and internal online colleague community
• Create written content for a range of channels, including social media, web, internal, press and marketing materials
• Media relations, working alongside our PR agency to produce press releases, arrange photo opportunities and brief internal stakeholders
• Support production and delivery of internal live and digital events.
   

The Ideal Candidate

• Excellent written skills for a range of communication channels
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively and build consensus with key stakeholders
• Some corporate communications experience and/or experience in content planning, production and media relations
• Social media management for a brand
• Have a resilient, positive and solutions focused mindset
• Full UK driving license
