We’re looking for a Business Support Officer (Compliance) to join our Building Services team at Wherstead Park, Ipswich. If you're someone who’s passionate about supporting compliance across a large and diverse organisation, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What you’ll be doing

As our Business Support Officer (Compliance), you’ll be helping to keep our Society 100% compliant with internal policies and external regulations. You’ll play a key role in contract administration, audit support, procurement processes, and risk management.

You’ll collaborate with teams across the Society and with external partners to ensure regulatory requirements are met, issues are resolved promptly, and our operational integrity is protected. The role is hybrid, based at our Central Office in Ipswich, and works Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Key areas you’ll be involved in:

  • Monitoring compliance and supporting risk assessments.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports for audits.
  • Managing service and maintenance contracts.
  • Assisting with procurement and contract renewals.
  • Building relationships across the Society to support best practice.

The person we are looking for 

You’ll be someone who thrives in a structured, process-driven environment, with a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of accountability.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has 1–2 years of experience in compliance, regulatory, or administrative support roles.
  • Is confident managing data, interpreting regulations, and supporting audits.
  • Possesses (or is willing to work towards) a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
  • Has great communication and collaboration skills.
  • Understands the importance of stakeholder relationships and confidentiality.
  • Is comfortable using MS365 and compliance systems.

Familiarity with GDPR, health & safety regulations, and risk management would be a bonus.
